Role Overview Hachette Book Group is hiring an EUC Technician to lead the design, deployment, and management of our enterprise endpoint platforms (Microsoft Intune and Jamf), support Office 365 administration, manage video conferencing infrastructure, and act as the Tier 3 escalation point for our Helpdesk.

This role bridges the Infrastructure and Helpdesk teams, ensuring consistent endpoint management, unified standards, and improved visibility across offices and Distribution Centers. The EUC Technician will identify systemic issues across teams, present findings with actionable solutions, and help strengthen alignment between Infrastructure, Helpdesk, and Security.

This position reports to the Infrastructure Manager and works closely with Security, Compliance, and Support leaders to ensure a secure and seamless end‑user experience.

Key Responsibilities Endpoint Management and Architecture

Design and manage configurations in Microsoft Intune (Windows) and Jamf Pro (macOS)

Oversee device lifecycle management: enrollment, compliance, patching, and deprovisioning

Lead efforts to improve endpoint security, automation, and standardization

Track and report on device metrics, compliance, and health

Office 365 Administration

Act as a subject matter expert for O365 services: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing

Provide Tier 3 support and lead feature rollout and adoption

Monitor system usage, access policies, and ensure policy compliance

Infrastructure and Helpdesk Collaboration

Partner with Infrastructure to align endpoint architecture with enterprise standards

Serve as the escalation point for Helpdesk Tier 3 tickets involving endpoints, O365, or device management

Coach and mentor Helpdesk staff through documentation and hands‑on troubleshooting

Identify recurring or systemic issues and present analysis and solutions to the Infrastructure and Helpdesk teams

Support infrastructure projects that impact endpoint experience, such as software rollouts, network upgrades, or policy changes

Video Conferencing and Collaboration Tools

Support and maintain corporate AV and video conferencing systems (Zoom, Teams Rooms, etc.)

Troubleshoot meeting space issues and propose improvements or upgrades

Ensure consistent hybrid meeting experiences across all sites

Solution Design and Continuous Improvement

Propose improvements to user experience, security posture, and device management standards

Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams on system transitions, integrations, and compliance initiatives

Analyze endpoint and support data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Develop and present recommendations to management for systemic issue resolution

Team and User Interaction Skills

Communicate clearly with users at all technical levels

Build trust through responsive, respectful, and effective support

Translate technical concepts into simple language and model strong communication and service standards

Required Skills and Experience

3+ years in IT with a focus on endpoint management and end‑user support

2+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro

Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration, especially Teams and Exchange

Experience managing and supporting AV/conference room systems (Neat, Cisco, Zoom)

Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve systemic issues

Effective written and verbal communication, with strong documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Jamf Certified Admin or Microsoft Endpoint Manager certification

Experience in hybrid Mac/Windows environments

Familiarity with identity, access, and endpoint security: MFA, device compliance, and conditional access

Compensation & Benefits The compensation for this position is $85,000-$95,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
