Position Summary:
The Construction Manager is AdvanceTEC’s primary manager of the fieldwork during the construction phase of a project. Reporting Structure:
Construction Managers report organizationally to the Director of Operations. Functionally, they report to the Project Manager on their specific project. Roles and Responsibilities: Assist the site safety manager with day-to-day safety management of the project during the construction phase. Ensure compliance with AdvanceTEC safety manual, quality manual, and applicable OSHA standards. Assist AdvanceTEC Project Manager as required to manage on-site activities and resources. Assist in the Selection, Evaluation, and Prequalification of subcontractors. Assist in the development of the Scope of Work Packages for the Subcontractors. Manage subcontractors after mobilization to the job site. Assist in the development of construction schedules and update progress of schedule on a weekly basis. Develop “look-ahead” plans with the subcontractors as required. Assist with the management of construction material on the job site. Interface with Owner’s PM and CM on a daily basis to ensure high client satisfaction. Manage job to completion with minimal punch list items. Responsible for job-site set-up including trailers, phone/data lines, signage, etc. Skills, Experience, and Qualities Required: Cleanroom construction experience in a leadership role. 5 years minimum experience as a construction supervisor. Ability to work safely and monitor the safety of subcontractors. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Passion for technology, construction, and AdvanceTEC’s business community is required. Strong desire to learn, grow, make a positive impact, and advance one’s career is important. Knowledge of modular architectural cleanroom panel systems preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Bluebeam, and MS Outlook. Working knowledge of Procore, Navisworks, and MS Project. Location and Travel Requirements:
This position will require you to be onsite at active project client sites. Project sites are typically located on the east coast of the United States but may be in other regions in the US (i.e., Midwest, Southeast, West) or Canada based on ideal client projects that AdvanceTEC pursues and secures.
