Engineering Co-Op Trane Technologies is committed to providing current college students with meaningful assignments, leadership training, exposure to senior leaders, and opportunities to network. Co-ops are offered to students pursuing a degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace and related fields). Co-ops will operate full-time from January to August or May to December as we work with your University toward Academic Credit for your work. Onsite in Tyler, TX – $3500 relocation/housing stipend provided prior to starting. Responsibilities and example work assignments

We have various co-op positions available; examples of potential work assignments are: Product Engineering Co-Op: Cultivate untapped value of our product through analysis of large amounts of customer use profile data. Improve current design or product base on design for manufacturability. Lead cross-functional teams to complete quality improvements/initiatives. Research new opportunities to add to specials portfolio to board customer base. Complete analysis of an update to an industry standard or code required for sustained products. Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op: Analyze production times and develop job breakdown sheets. Implement manufacturing process improvements including metal forming/fabrication, CNC machining, mechanical assembly, welding robotics, flame/induction brazing, etc. Assist with new capital equipment purchases, including business case support and equipment research. Support product performance testing. Quality Engineering Co-Op: Quality system development for new and existing products. Partner with Internal Audit for process improvement and document quality procedures. Analyze processes, documentation, and production for quality improvement. Ad-hoc projects based on skill level, degree, or general interest. Electrical Engineering Co-Op: Perform troubleshooting procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. Perform product testing procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers. Organize and report results of analysis work to engineers and product managers. Review electronic component datasheets and specifications to identify substitute lower-cost parts. Manage, manipulate, and organize large component pricing MS Excel spreadsheets. Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers. Qualifications

We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative team members who understand the importance of collaboration and customer focus. Currently enrolled and pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related major. Must be available to work full-time for 6-8 consecutive months (January–August or May–December). Ability to collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork and contribute to team goals and continuous learning. Ability to establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently; prioritize tasks by importance. Demonstrated leadership via campus organizations, sports team captaincy, resident advisor roles, or exceptional leadership on work projects. U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Salary Information

Base Pay Range: $22.50 - $27.00 per hour. Disclaimer – This base pay range is based on US national averages.
