Job Position: CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator
Location: Loves Park, IL 61111
Pay Rate: $22.00 to $25.00/hr BOE
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Description:
Come and join a manufacturer with over 50 years of experience and expertise with steel tooling, carbide tooling, and precision machining. We are looking for an experienced CNC 3 axis lathe machinist to work the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to do your own set ups and produce quality parts from customer drawings with minimal supervision.
Plan machining by studying detailed/complex blueprints and work orders; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Program lathes and/or download edit programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches.
Calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Set up lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings and stops.
Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces; perform buddy checks.
CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator Axis Qualifications and Requirements Three years’ experience in the machining industry.
Must be able to program, set up & operate multi axis CNC lathes utilizing live tooling and machines using Mazatrol controls.
Proficient in reading blueprints, gauges, and measurement tools.
