Position description and responsibilities for an in-house traveler RN working night shift on 8E Med/Surg. This role is a 13-week assignment focused on delivering efficient, effective and quality patient care in accordance with OSUMC standards.
Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents care activities to deliver high-quality patient care. The RN must provide age-appropriate care for patients on the unit and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span. The role includes planning and modifying the plan of care in alignment with OSUMC Patient Care policies and procedures. Adherence to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act is required.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the assigned unit and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
Assess data reflective of patient status, interpret information, and identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs.
Plan for the provision of patient care including development, modification and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC policies and procedures.
Adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
This position is a 13 week assignment.
Qualifications
Education: 2-year Associate Degree
License/Certification: Current RN - OK License; BLS; ACLS
Experience: 1-3 years (1 year minimum unit-specific experience preferred)
