Job Description Addison Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to support our client’s billing and patient services team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, phone-heavy environment and has a strong grasp of medical billing concepts.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients and providers
Explain insurance details such as copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and EOBs
Assist patients in understanding their bills and account status
Follow up with provider offices to obtain missing documentation
Return patient calls and provide clear, empathetic support
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical front office or customer service role
Familiarity with reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Understanding of basic medical insurance terms and processes
Proficient in basic computer tasks including typing and navigating Windows
Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm and helpful when assisting frustrated or confused patients
Testing Requirements Candidates will be asked to complete the following prior to submission :
3-minute typing test
MS Excel simulation (Office 2016)
