This position offers up to $30,000 in a signing bonus for external candidates. Position Summary
Operate stationary and portable x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated regions of the body. Supervise and instruct students in the clinical areas. Education, License & Certification
Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certification within 6 months of employment, or Graduation from an ARRT non-accredited program with ARRT certification prior to employment, or Graduation from an ARRT program that is grandfathered and not required to obtain ARRT certification (preferred). NYS Radiologic Technologist License or Temporary Permit required for positions in New York State. Experience
Minimum of six months preferred as a registered technologist in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital. Essential Functions
Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, including equipment adjustment, patient positioning, image QA, and documentation. Ensure patient care and safety, including infection control and patient modesty. Work cooperatively with healthcare team members and maintain high standards in radiology. Other Duties
Cleaning, restocking, and other assigned duties. React quickly to emergency situations and report equipment issues. Supervise and evaluate radiology students. Transport portable equipment and participate in departmental meetings. Work all shifts, including weekends, and perform physical tasks as required. Salary Range
