Overview

Position floats to all 3 locations: Palm Coast, St. Augustine, and Nocatee. The Radiology Tech operates imaging equipment and performs diagnostic x-rays as ordered by the physician and under the guidance of the physician. Assists in preparing the operating/procedure rooms, as needed. Documents duration of radiation and results of tests/examinations in the patient\'s chart. Responsibilities

Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations. Accurately performs radiological exams to department standards including technique, positioning, protocols and administration of contrast material. Assures quality of images presented to radiologist for interpretation and consults with doctor to obtain optimum quality. Follows protocols and participates in quality control programs, when appropriate. Completes assigned procedures in a timely manner and assists in preparing the operating/procedure room for the next procedure. Applies the prescribed procedures to competently perform radiology technician functions. Ensures compliance with all Florida radiological standards and regulations. Follows manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA guidelines when performing x-ray procedure. Correctly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed. Maintains adequate supplies to provide immediate availability during the procedure. Qualifications

Education / Training Associate\'s Degree Radiologic Technology and/or Diploma/Equivalent Radiologic Technology Additional Information: Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school for degree, or diploma by which the graduate would qualify as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Experience Requirements 0-1 year Rad Tech Preferences: 1-year Rad Tech experience Certificates/Licenses/Registration Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Florida American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Basic Life Support (BLS)
