Role Summary The Department of Radiology at Stanford School of Medicine is searching for a full‑time diagnostic neuroradiology faculty member to join our Division of Neuroimaging and Neurointervention. The faculty appointment is open rank and may be in the University Medical Line, University Tenure Line, or Clinician Educator Line.

Appointment Criteria

University Medical Line: excellence in clinical care, teaching, scholarly activity, and service.

University Tenure Line: major commitment to research and teaching.

Clinician Educator Line: excellence in clinical care, teaching, and administrative/scholarship appropriate to the programmatic needs.

Division Overview The Neuroradiology Division specializes in interpreting imaging studies of the brain, spine, head and neck, performing image‑guided procedures and biopsies, and neurointervention. Services include minimally‑invasive treatment of cerebral aneurysms, carotid stenting, vertebroplasty, transvenous embolization of CSF fistulae, urgent stroke management, and advanced neuroimaging techniques such as dual‑energy CT, functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, perfusion imaging, and arterial spin label perfusion.

Clinical and Teaching Responsibilities

Provide clinical service across Stanford Healthcare inpatient and outpatient sites.

Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; lead clinical interdisciplinary conferences.

Interpret CT and MRI studies of brain, spine, head and neck, and apply advanced techniques (perfusion, functional imaging).

Participate in the neuroradiology call schedule.

Develop candidate‑driven initiatives to improve clinical care and collaborate on research.

Qualifications

MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent).

ABR‑certified radiologist with completion of an ACGME‑accredited fellowship in Neuroradiology and eligibility for a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.

Proficiency in image‑guided neuroradiology procedure skills (lumbar puncture, myelography).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clinicians, patients, and trainees.

Strong commitment to clinical care, teaching, and/or research, depending on desired faculty line.

Salary Range

Clinical Instructor: $390,000 - $396,000

Assistant Professor: $405,000 - $423,000

Associate Professor: $438,000 - $456,000

Full Professor: $476,000 - $503,000
