EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Strong attention to details required.

Preferred

Previous experience performing related duties preferred.

Familiarity with data entry via computer workstation preferred.

JOB DUTIES

Maintains adequate inventory levels, rotation of stock, and current dating for laboratory supplies. Responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking and tracking of laboratory supplies. Maintains temperature sensitive supplies upon receipt and distribution. Temperatures can be room temperature, refrigerated or frozen. Maintenance includes walk-in coolers and chemical storage areas within the laboratory.

Deliver goods to lab department locations; stocks common supply shelves. Provides information related to materials in stock and unit prices.

Coordinates purchase order for Laboratory proficiency testing (CAP) for all laboratory departments. Initiates the creation of Purchase Orders for emergency repairs / service. Assists in setting up standing orders for lab specific supplies.

Assists in the development of inventory management in each laboratory department. Assists with the inventory recall process as required.

Coordinates laboratory specific supplies to clinic labs and lab reference clients.

Meets departmental standards for productivity, accuracy, and quality.

Assist with laboratory departments in maintaining off-site storage of CLS materials (specimens and documents).

Demonstrates financial accountability through accurate documentation of workload and efficient use of reagents and supplies.

Participation in continuing education programs.

Performs other duties as assigned.
