Under the leadership of the Laboratory Supervisor, this position will deliver clinical and non-clinical services to support patient-centered care. Responsibilities : Obtains adequate blood specimens from all inpatients (obstetric, medical/surgical, mental health, oncology, rehabilitation, renal, neurological) outpatients, emergency care, non-patient services, (physician clinics, wellness/fitness, environmental monitoring, pediatric) in all age groups. Labels all specimens in accordance with standards. Supports the LEAN principles of one piece flow and first in first out when delivering patient samples to the laboratory. Qualifications : EDUCATION: Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. Preferred: Successful completion of a phlebotomy course.
