Speech Language Pathologist - Speech Therapy
Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates, plans, directs, and treats all patients referred for speech/language services. Restores function and prevents disability following disease or injury, assisting patients to achieve maximum performance and function in society while learning to live routine "normal" life within the constraints of their disability. Participates in performance improvement activities, CQI, infection control, safety, education, and departmental budget planning.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience working as a speech/language pathologist in a rehabilitation setting.
Hold a master’s degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
Current State Licensure in speech pathology (Speech Pathologist) and BCLS certification.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of principles and practice of speech pathology.
Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique, and impact on rehabilitative medicine.
Ability to keep current with technology, research, and professional development.
Organizational, cognitive, emotional maturity to handle multiple tasks and stressful situations.
Interpersonal and communication skills for empathetic patient care and customer relations.
Flexibility to adapt to changing environments, scheduling, and departmental assignments.
Seniority Level Mid-Senior level.
