The role involves focusing on analytical laboratory activities for specific testing involving HPLC, alongside participating in a variety of food quality control analytical and microbiological support activities. You will apply a comprehensive body of knowledge related to standard laboratory methods, practices, procedures, policies, regulations, and laboratory materials and equipment. Responsibilities

Operate and maintain HPLC units. Prep and run samples following established protocols, maintaining instruments, calibrating, and following maintenance regimens. Prepare eluent and required reagents with accuracy. Perform chemical and physical analyses on a variety of samples, including food products and intermediate samples. Conduct tests such as organoleptic evaluations, pH, acidity titrations, sodium, nitrate/nitrite analyses, Brix, moisture, specific gravity, and pulp content. Perform required calculations and maintain required spreadsheets. Perform microbiological analyses on a variety of products, following required aseptic techniques in media prep, sample collection, plating, and bacteria identification. Log samples and related pertinent information, ensuring appropriate documentation and record‑keeping. Perform related work as assigned. Essential Skills

Ability to adapt new technology and methods to enhance program effectiveness. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Manual skills: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Manual labor required for this position. Occasional exposure to odors, dusts/powders, and noise. Wearing of hairnet, facial hair covering (if applicable), hearing protection, mask, lab coat, and goggles is required. Work Environment

Work is performed in a Quality Control Laboratory. The environment includes exposure to odors, dusts/powders, and noise. Personal protective equipment such as hairnets, facial hair coverings, masks, lab coats, and goggles are mandatory. The role requires standing for extended periods and involves manual labor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eustis, FL. Pay And Benefits
