Responsibilities Provide intensive speech and language services, feeding interventions, and AAC services within an educational setting. Offer support to students with speech and language disorders and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
Valid license and current registration as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by the New York State Department of Education
Current certification and registration as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong writing and organizational skills
Proficient in general office software
Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience with AAC/AT and communication applications
Knowledge of oral motor structures and function
Experience with swallowing and feeding issues
Experience working with individuals with complex physical and communication delays
Experience with speech motor disorders
