NaphCare is hiring an
LPN
to join our team of medical professionals in
North Brunswick, New Jersey , where we manage all aspects of healthcare for individuals who are incarcerated in the
Middlesex County Jail . Pay rates range from $31.16 - $32.80 per hour plus shift differentials where applicable! Pay rates range per hour based on employment status, site needs, licensure, and experience. As a
Correctional Nurse , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority, you will perform various duties including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. *New grads are encouraged to apply - we'll train you in the exciting field of correctional healthcare! * Responsibilities
As an
LPN , you will play a critical role in our mission to provide quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, and medication history Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas Administering medications, including injections, and monitoring reactions to meds Maintaining medical records, including entering information into our electronic health record Observing patient health and mental health status Providing emergency first aid Providing patient education and discharge/release planning Qualifications

Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Possess an active CPR certification Experience / Skills Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Display integrity, professionalism and adherence to a Code of Conduct and facility policies, procedures, and legal requirements Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, while maintaining balance and endurance throughout a shift.
