Job Description Summary Manages a team of pharmacy employees who, under the direction of a physician, compound and dispense prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment. Oversees daily pharmacy operations. Monitors and audits drug inventory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and reporting.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise pharmacy staff in the compounding and dispensing of prescribed medications under physician oversight.

Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies.

Monitor and audit drug inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Provide remote coverage for Epic verification queue for oncology infusion pharmacy operations.

Maintain sterile compounding standards in line with USP 797 and USP 800.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of direct oversight of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy; completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.

Experience with USP 797 and 800, managing sterile compounding of hazardous and non‑hazardous infusion and injectable doses.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Licensure, Certifications & Registrations Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
