Description
We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) professionals specializing in Radiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients through the use of medical imaging techniques. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely diagnoses, contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.
As an MD or DO specializing in Radiology, you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from interpreting X-rays and MRIs to performing interventional procedures. Your role is essential in helping healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care, making a significant impact on the quality of treatment provided.
Responsibilities
Interpret medical images to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
Consult with other physicians to determine the best course of treatment.
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs.
Provide guidance to technologists and other healthcare professionals.
Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and results.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification in Radiology.
Valid state medical license.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic interpretations.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Schedule: 4 or 5-day workweek
6-8 administrative hours per month
No call, night, or weekend shifts
Setting: Onsite
Daily Volume: 40-50 patients and 1-4 procedures total
Required Procedures: Stereo biopsies, US biopsies, Molli localization, and MRI biopsies
Equipment: Hologic mammo/stereo, Secureview, Ikonopedia, Dynacard, Brevera stereo biopsy system, GE US, MQ PACS
Team Structure: Remote breast imager, breast surgeons, breast center manager, breast navigators, mammo techs, US staff, and ancillary support staff
Must be board-certified
