Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Seeking: Regional Clinical Supervisor Requirements:

Certified Clinical Supervisor (CS) in the state of South Carolina

Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Role Location

On-site at Easley Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), providing clinical support and oversight to three CTC clinic locations in South Carolina.

Weekly travel to our Clinton CTC location and once or twice per month to Ridgeland CTC as needed to support clinical teams and maintain supervisory presence.

Your Role As Regional Clinical Supervisor The Regional Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical team in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) environment. The Regional Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of the assigned programs' Clinical Supervisors. In the absence of a Clinical Supervisor, this position will oversee the treatment facility's clinical program/clinicians. This position includes fostering compliance with clinical and regulatory standards and ensuring clinical and administrative services are provided for patients and their families.

Role Responsibilities

Provide supervision of clinical staff at multiple CTC locations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic and corporate policies and procedures.

Make staff assignments and create schedules at multiple CTC locations; update support staff when changes are made.

Monitor counselors’ compliance at multiple CTC locations with productivity requirements; develop improvement plans when requirements are not met.

Ensure quality patient care at multiple CTC locations; conduct treatment plan reviews as needed.

Perform chart audits at multiple CTC locations and communicate results of audits to staff.

Assess level of care for patients at multiple CTC locations; conduct treatment plan review as required.

Participate in reviews at multiple CTC locations, ensuring adherence to policy, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Assist with recruitment, hiring, and training of qualified clinical staff at multiple CTC locations.

May also be involved in crisis intervention and work as a liaison within the community at multiple CTC locations.

Ensure ethical and professional conduct by clinical staff at multiple CTC locations.

Adhere to company standards of conduct as delineated in the Acadia Corporate Statement of Ethics.

Ensure compliance with Opioid Treatment Program Division operating policies and procedures at multiple CTC locations.

Provide supervision to counselors as needed at multiple CTC locations.

Develop and provide clinical training to the clinical team at multiple CTC locations, as needed, to enhance counseling skills, therapeutic techniques, and documentation skills.

Review clinical program adherence to policies and regulatory standards on a semi‑annual basis.

Review KPIs and develop improvement plans, as needed, related to counselor productivity, 90‑day retention rates, admissions, and no‑shows.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

Master's degree in human services, psychology, social work, counseling, or mental/behavioral health‑related field is required.

3 years of full‑time professional clinical experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, including outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.

Minimum 1 year full‑time equivalent of clinical leadership experience in a supervisory or administrative role.

Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff in the delivery of individual and group counseling services for individuals with substance use disorders.

Your Knowledge & Skills

In‑depth knowledge of Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and practices, including the use of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.

Strong understanding of evidence‑based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention; ability to train and guide staff in their implementation.

Oversight of clinical documentation practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance in treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Working knowledge of all applicable federal and state rules and regulations, in addition to accreditation standards governing the CTC Division.

Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements, with a focus on maintaining audit readiness.

Proven success in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff, to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care.

Strong leadership, education, training, and customer service skills, as well as an understanding of the principles of Clinical Services, Compliance, Quality, and Policy Management.

Experience in developing and implementing clinical staff training is highly preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Certified Clinical Supervisor (CS) in the state of South Carolina is required.
