Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities include ordering, collecting, processing routine and specialty tests, returning results to physicians, obtaining and processing doctor’s orders, data entry, providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and physicians, working well under pressure, collecting blood samples with proper identification and labeling, following hospital policies for transporting samples, and performing CLIA-waived moderate testing. Duties and Responsibilities
Proficiency in blood and body fluid collection, ensuring proper patient identification and sample labeling Transport and deliver samples following hospital policies Handle laboratory supplies and maintain stock levels Provide quality clinical care and excellent customer service Adhere to all policies and procedures Offer age-appropriate care Report and manage patient and staff incidents Monitor patient and physician satisfaction Follow safety standards and perform sterile tech duties Develop professional relationships with healthcare teams Maintain records, perform quality control, and manage lab requisitions and reports Mentor new staff members Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Current BLS Certification; Valid driver’s license Graduation from an accredited Health Sciences program; Valid CMA license Preferred: Phlebotomy experience and courses Computer skills required Effective communication in English; Bilingual is a plus Basic math skills Organized, able to multitask, critical thinker Good interpersonal skills; team player; flexible Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; strong customer service skills Additional Details
