We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians and staff committed to AdventHealth’s mission.
Role Overview As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilize process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self‑determined, professional judgment and action.
Responsibilities The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients as medically prescribed, in a professional manner and within hospital standards, adhering to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.
Value to the Team
Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policy and procedures.
Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
Performs evaluations and re‑evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
Qualifications
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
Entry‑level competency of physical therapy practice, theory, principles, and applications as defined in competency/department policies [Required]
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Physical Therapist (PT) [Required] OR Physical Therapist – Temporary (PT‑TEMP) [Required]
