Kay 5 supports patients diagnosed with solid tumors or neuro-oncology disorders. Be part of groundbreaking cell therapies or antibody infusions that help improve outcomes for this patient population. Join a nursing team that provides the highest quality of care every day. This is a night shift specific opportunity looking for an experienced nurse who has a desire to work with solid tumor and neuro-oncology patients. Minimum Education and/or Training
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), preferred as applicable. Minimum Experience
BSN required with completion of 18 months of clinical nursing experience. St. Jude or other RN experience required. Intermediate pediatric assessment, critical thinking, and pain assessment skills. Some experience in pediatric or oncology nursing. Working knowledge of research protocols. Strong knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of the patients served on the assigned unit. Strong knowledge of growth and development principles for all ages served. Strong ability to assess and interpret age-specific data about the patient’s status. Strong clinical nursing, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Proven performance in earlier role. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law
Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state. Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) Only
Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) preferred. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Pediatric Oncology Nurse II-nights K5. Explore our exceptional benefits.
