Overview
The ACCS Clinician is a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide immediate short-term relief to individuals suffering from an acute psychiatric episode. Base pay range $30.00/hr - $33.00/hr Other compensation $1 per hour Language Differential (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish or ASL). Compensation is determined by factors including internal equity, individual experience and job value, and alignment with current external market pay. Schedule MONDAY - FRIDAY / 8AM-4PM Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Conduct comprehensive assessments inclusive of the use of standardized assessment tools for suicide risk Engage clients in brief crisis counseling, individualized risk management/safety planning Engage clients in discharge planning and care coordination Conduct individual, group, and family sessions with clients Conduct comprehensive mental health status exam utilizing an admissions/screening instrument which includes providing a diagnosis in accordance with the DSM V Supervise the daily care plans of clients in the CCS unit Understand different treatment modalities that can be applied to stabilize clients in their home and prevent hospitalization Consult with clinic director/administrator on call and/or consulting psychiatrist prior to disposition plan to include outpatient services, hospitalization, or hospital diversion Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision, staff meetings, staff development and training curriculum Ability to move quickly in responding to emergencies Possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Additional information All 24-hour/Acute Care Services program staff are considered essential. Essential staff are defined as personnel who are expected to report to work as scheduled, regardless of holidays and/or during any emergency situation and/or agency closing to ensure ongoing operations. This position may require working beyond a forty-hour work week, and may require remaining on shift until relief staff are available. For overnight positions, staff are required to stay awake for the entirety of their shift.
