Patient Access Associate 1, Diagnostic Center - Plantation, $1000 Bonus, FT, Shift Varies
Base pay: $16.28/hr - $19.70/hr

Description The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, timely processing, maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department/physician practice/hospital to address patient questions or concerns. Maintenance of insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) pricing, financial assistance options, and overall BHSF Revenue Cycle operations is also required. The role practices the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members.
Qualifications
High School, Certified, GED, Training, or equivalent experience.
Additional Qualifications
Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast‑paced environment and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology.
Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR applications).
Accurate typing skills.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, HACM, EMTALA, Medicare coverage structure and medical necessity compliance guidelines.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole (preferred).
Minimum required experience: Less than 1 year.
Seniority level: Entry level.
