Summary
In this role, you will serve as the orthopedic category expert for Vizient's portfolio of products and services, leading strategy and execution to deliver exceptional value to members. You will develop and manage a high‑complexity, high‑visibility contract portfolio, ensuring strong supplier relationships, market competitiveness, and operational efficiency. You will partner cross‑functionally with stakeholders to drive cost performance, elevate supply strategies, and align solutions with evolving healthcare trends and member needs.
Responsibilities
Manage a complex orthopedic portfolio to deliver optimal performance, visibility, and member value.
Develop and execute strategic category and negotiation plans in partnership with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
Lead RFP strategy, execution, and supplier engagement to drive competitive outcomes.
Serve as the orthopedic subject matter expert for members, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Analyze market trends, financial data, and emerging technologies to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
Build strong supplier and member relationships to enhance collaboration and performance.
Communicate key insights, contract updates, and market intelligence across internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience required.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic products, technologies, and market trends.
Proven ability to develop and execute complex sourcing and contracting strategies.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
Strong relationship management and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
Experience working within group purchasing organizations or healthcare supply chain preferred.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and category management tools.
Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
