Location: Methodist Fremont Health Address: 450 E 23rd St. - Fremont, NE Work Schedule: Flexible 8-hour day shift position with department coverage from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. No scheduled weekends or holidays, with call rotation every 3 to 4 weeks. Summary: Coordinates and performs all peripheral vascular and cardiac sonography procedures in the Outpatient and Hospital setting. 3-5 years of peripheral vascular study experience preferred. Essential Functions Exam performance/quality: identifiable patient verification, patient understanding of procedures, proper positioning, adherence to guidelines and departmental protocols, exam priority handling, and critique for technical accuracy. Workflow management: review orders for clinical/demographic consistency, assist physicians and staff as needed, support department direction/workflow, monitor ongoing exams and provide status updates, relieve co-workers as necessary, be present at start of shift, ensure coverage for end of shift, consolidate images/reports/history for review, take call and coordinate inpatient flow (hospital only). Systems/Cerner: knowledge of Cerner, start and complete exams timely, monitor orders/status via Online Worklist, verify images with orders, perform PACS cleanup as needed. Department Policy/Procedures: proper patient identification, provide patient care as needed, follow department guidelines, maintain ARDMS license, follow call reports and specifications, report issues promptly and assist with resolution. Clinical Enrichment: provide on-the-job training per Methodist College standards, maintain professional relationships with students/instructors, provide leadership for students during clinical experiences. Confidentiality: HIPAA and FERPA compliant for patients, students, and coworkers. Age-specific patient care: provide appropriate care and ensure patient understanding of exams. Echo/Vascular procedures: perform per department policy and ICAEL/ICAVL governance with digital imaging; use worklist effectively to pass information to medical records; coordinate with IT for worklist issues and PACS finalization; complete competency checklists. Clinical documentation: obtain accurate patient history and indications; ensure all images and measurements support physician interpretation; manage digital image acquisition and assignment through Xcelera; ensure studies are edited and submitted within 24 hours. Patient education: educate patients prior to procedures; document patient education and outcomes; coordinate outcomes with supervisor and rounding for outcomes. Inventory and IT/Bio-Med coordination: maintain inventory, report maintenance/IT issues, coordinate with IT and Bio-Med for equipment problems. Team scheduling: participate in monthly assignments fairly; seek feedback from managers/peers. Qualifications

Education

ARDMS registered or board eligible; completion of an accredited ultrasound technical 2-year program. Participates in mandatory in-services and continuing education as required by policies and external agencies as directed by Manager. Experience

Two years of clinical experience (student and/or professional) in echo/vascular required. License/Certifications

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire; required within 3 months of hire. ARDMS registered or board eligible required. RVT and/or RDCS through ARDMS required upon employment, with both required after six months of employment. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Strong communication and interaction with patients, families, hospital staff, and coworkers. Ability to organize work and multitask; computer literacy required. Physical Requirements
