30 hours weekly, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 10 hour shifts. Location:

This role focuses on using various imaging techniques to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations using m-mode, 2‑D, 3‑D, and Doppler techniques, providing images of internal body structures. Provide preliminary interpretation of study results to cardiologists and maintain equipment, billing, and quality control. Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification within one year of hire. One year of clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science. Two years of clinical experience. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations; give preliminary interpretation of study results to cardiologists. Perform echocardiograms in the echocardiography laboratory, cardiac catheterization laboratory, ICU, or ward units. Assist physicians in transesophageal, intraoperative, and three‑dimensional studies, and in collecting research data. Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition, follow infection control practices. Maintain knowledge of charging and billing processes; charge appropriately. Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain clinical information from the patient’s cardiology chart. Obtain permanent video or digital recordings and tracings from the ultrasound unit. Make appropriate measurements and calculations from exam data. Collect and export 3D echocardiographic data; perform offline computer analysis for detailed assessment of cardiac anatomy and function. Ensure all tests are read by cardiologist; contribute technical knowledge to diagnostic impressions and participate in echo reading sessions. Proofread final official echo report before sending to medical records. Participate in quality control and quality assurance for all ultrasonic equipment; record documentation for review. Assist supervisor in technical training of new sonographers and interns; develop and maintain a teaching file system. Assist in maintaining and ordering supplies as designated by supervisor.
