Job Title: Locum Tenens Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Oncology Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel nursing contract) Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs) Unit: WCC7 Medical Oncology (30-bed unit) Start Date: October 13, 2025 End Date: January 10, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night), including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310 Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York State Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in oncology or medical-surgical settings) Telemetry nursing experience required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification Chemo certification required (Oncology Nursing Society or equivalent) Ability to obtain TB skin test as required for healthcare jobs in New York Oncology RN Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to adult hematology-oncology patients throughout all stages of cancer treatment Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes Administer chemotherapy and other specialized oncology treatments in accordance with clinical protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate and support patients and families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and symptom management Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required by the medical oncology unit Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards for nursing jobs in New York Benefits
