Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with disorders related to speech, language, cognition, communication, voice, and fluency. The typical week for an SLP involves treatments, notes, evaluation, and meeting(s). Treatment is performed on an in-class (inclusion) or out of class (pull-out) basis. School based SLPs deliver services based on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The SLP collaborates with the parents and other professionals to develop the IEP. Treatment goals, frequency, and duration are outlined in the IEP. Formal speech evaluations are performed at least every 3 years. The SLP meets with the IEP team at least every year. In addition to direct treatment with the students, the SLP consults with parents and teachers to reach the student’s goals. Salary Information

Salary 2025-2026 CCC-SLP, Bilingual* $92,000.00 $63.89/hr CCC-SLP $90,000.00 $62.50/hr CF-SLP $85,000.00 $59.03/hr SLPA $60,000.00 $41.67/hr Salary 2024-2025 CCC-SLP, Bilingual* $87,000.00 $60.42/hr CCC-SLP $85,000.00 $59.03/hr CF-SLP $80,000.00 $55.56/hr SLPA $55,000.00 $38.20/hr Pay based on school year with holidays & breaks off. *Bilingual = English & Spanish Salaries Include an optional $1,000 moving or sign-on advance on salary.
