Job Expectations
Implement PT intervention techniques and track patient progress
Educate patients on care techniques for continued recovery
Evaluate and treat new patients
Diagnose conditions and assess their impact on activity
Develop and revise treatment plans based on evaluations
Ensure timely treatment in accordance with scheduled appointments
Promote patient adherence to care plans and minimize cancellations, aiming for a 90% appointment adherence rate
Provide comprehensive patient care
Delegate appropriate activities to physical therapist assistants in accordance with their skill levels and legal guidelines
Document patient care promptly and accurately, including notes, reports, evaluations, and summaries
Supervise and delegate tasks to staff as appropriate
Maintain professional conduct and adhere to all policies and procedures
Review referrals, assess patient conditions, and perform tests to develop or update treatment programs
Administer manual exercises, instruct patients, and assist with device use
Apply physical agents and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting as needed
Job Requirements
Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehab treatment plans
Efficiently work independently
Graduate from an accredited PT program and hold a current Indiana PT license
Capable of executing and progressing skilled outpatient treatment plans
Self-motivated and eager to learn
Passionate about vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall-risk patient populations
Preferably at least one year of outpatient neurological or orthopedic experience, or vestibular rehab experience
