Role: Scrub Theatre Practitioner
Location: The Portland Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Sunday – Early (0730-1600), Late (12:30-2100) and long days (0730-2100)

We are looking for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre department. The Portland Hospital is part of HCA Healthcare, rated “Good” by the CQC. The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children, providing treatment for a full range of paediatric conditions and complex procedures.
Responsibilities
Work as part of the theatre team to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety for patients.
Actively contribute to maintaining an environment conducive to the delivery of high‑standard patient care.
Collaborate closely with consultants and practitioners across a spectrum of acute specialities, including Gynae & Obstetrics, general and paediatric surgery.
Maintain the theatre environment to support professional and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Current HCPC/NMC Registration.
Post‑graduate experience in Theatres.
Minimum 2 years of Scrub Operating Theatre experience covering a wide range of specialties such as General, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Cardiac, Neurology and Obstetrics.
