Substitute Nutrition Services Assistant 2025‑2026 (On‑Call As Needed)
Sweetwater Union High School District invites the first applicant to assist in nutrition services during the 2025‑2026 school year. The position is on‑call as needed and will support the district’s commitment to high‑quality, culturally responsive education for more than 34,000 students. Key Responsibilities (summary of duties): • Provide direct nutrition service support to student populations according to district policies. • Assist with the preparation and serving of nutritional meals and snacks in school settings. • Maintain accurate records of food service activities and compliance with health and safety standards. • Collaborate with school dietitians, teachers, and parents to address student dietary needs and concerns. • Participate in related training and professional development activities as required. Qualifications and Requirements: No education or experience required. Food Handlers Card (required – must be approved by San Diego County). Resume and one (1) recent Letter of Reference (dated within the last two years). Eligibility to work in the United States. All applications must include the above documentation. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee placement on the substitute list; additional clearance will be handled by the district during processing.
