POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW (Data & Tech) (Mizuno) -Precision medicine

Dr. Mizuno's award winning research has focused on applying pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK / PD) modeling, pharmacometrics, and quantitative pharmacology to develop and implement personalized drug dosing strategies in pediatric patients. This approach to therapeutic optimization is now being coined as “model-informed precision dosing (MIPD)” and is part of a wider context of precision medicine. He is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow - Technical, to join his dynamic research team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform analysis and experiments – Design, execute, record analysis; apply scientific protocols; develop and implement research protocols; prepare, clean, analyze data; maintain quality checks.
Communicate results/findings – Draft, write, edit scientific reports; present research at meetings, clubs, seminars; discuss insights with faculty.
Innovate and advance departmental capabilities – Reproduce, evaluate, research techniques; adapt methods; develop, verify new procedures; troubleshoot software/equipment; maintain records.
Financial/Budgeting – Assist in grant applications; maintain fiscal budget; monitor expenditures; prepare capital requests; track funding.
Staff Leadership – Lead a team; set goals; perform performance reviews; guide work assignments; serve as functional expert.
Education and Training – Serve as course master; develop courses; deliver guest lectures; mentor coworkers; identify training needs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in related discipline, MD, or equivalent degree.
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related quantitative disciplines.
Experience in a related discipline.
