Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Per Diem Responsibilities

Maintain the safe operation of designated equipment and instruments. Set up equipment prior to procedure and assist in patient preparation, as appropriate to the ages of the patient’s growth and development through the life cycle factors. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures utilizing event log on the hemodynamic monitoring system. Maintain the power injection and accurate monitoring of image acquisitions during procedures. Act as an active member of the cath lab team, assisting with other duties including supply and inventory management, patient safety, staff development and educational activities. Requirements

Graduate of an approved ARRT Radiology technology program or graduate of an approved and accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent. Registered Radiology Technologist (RT[R]) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS); experienced in invasive cardiovascular procedures. Working knowledge of X-ray equipment with the ability to assist the physician. Working knowledge of radiation safety and the hemodynamic monitoring systems. Strong knowledge of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures and the ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias. Understanding of monitoring equipment, information systems, emergency equipment, and the department’s specific equipment. Ability to think and move quickly to deliver quality and efficient patient care. Ability to work well as a team with physicians, patients, and co-workers. Flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, and schedule changes. BLS Certification required (American Heart Association). ACLS certification required. Salary Range: 49.00 - 49.00 USD We offer competitive base rates determined by factors including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary shown reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
