CAMS Renewable Services LLC is seeking a

Solar Senior Technician

with expertise in Balance of Plant (BOP) electrical systems and grid-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is responsible for leading technicians in the preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of PV systems. This is a site-based position located within a 60-minute drive of a CAMS-managed PV and Thermal Power facility near Gibson City, IL. The Senior Technician will leverage the tools of the Remote Operations Center (ROC) to support site technicians and will participate in rotational night shift work to ensure continuous PV maintenance. Strong work ethic, effective communication, and thorough documentation skills are essential. Safety is a top priority at CAMS, and this role requires proactive leadership in implementing Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) programs. Reports To: Director O&M PV AND BESS. This role will report to the Director O&M PV and Gibson City Thermal Plant Supervisor on all matters to ensure that they are properly outfitted, trained, and capable of completing their work. The Director will ensure the Sr Technician has all the CAMS processes and procedures to be successful in the role. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety policies. Lead preventative and corrective maintenance of PV systems. Fully utilize CAMS’ work order system for all maintenance activities. Replace/install hardware, inverters, monitoring equipment, and other site components. Conduct electrical testing using appropriate PPE and safety protocols. Prepare reports to meet O&M contract deliverables. Support maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Attend manufacturer-approved training sessions as required. Use company-provided equipment and resources according to guidelines. Maintain adherence to company policies, EHS standards, and housekeeping practices. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Travel overnight up to 10%. Requirements

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and regulations. Experience in PV installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting (related experience considered). Minimum of 3 years of electrical knowledge/training. Strong organizational, communication, analytical, planning, and customer service skills. Ability to hire, train, and retain site staff. Professional communication with internal teams, customers, and local stakeholders. Flexible, self-disciplined, and high integrity. Available for weekend work and on-call emergencies. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Certifications: NFPA 70e, Substation Level I & II, First Aid/CPR. Ability to certify in thermal imaging within 12 months. Physically able to: Lift objects over 10 lbs; climb stairs and ladders; work outdoors in extreme weather; navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces; wear required PPE. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SMA Power PCS Inverters, and Nextracker. Manufacturer training certifications in PV, and PCS systems. Experience commissioning equipment and performing HV/MV switching and substation work. Certified in thermal imaging and analysis. Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms such as Fractal and Indie. Summary
