Physician - Otolaryngology - Skull Base and Ablative Head and Neck Surgery Fellow
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Twelfth Ave, 395 W (0356)).
Position Type: Full‑time.
Shift: First Shift.
Annual Salary: $300,000‑$350,000.
Position Overview The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center offer a high‑volume, multidisciplinary care environment. The Skull Base and Ablative Head & Neck Surgery Fellowship trains fellows in the management of skull base lesions – including open and endoscopic skull base surgery – with approximately 150 operations performed annually. Fellows also gain exposure to ablative head and neck oncologic surgeries for mucosal, salivary, and endocrine malignancies. The program emphasizes a team‑surgery approach, weekly planning conferences, tumor board participation, clinical research, and conference attendance.
Responsibilities
Perform and supervise skull base and ablative head & neck surgeries.
Run weekly planning conferences and participate in the head & neck tumor board.
Engage in clinical research projects and attend academic conferences.
Maintain an instructor–practice faculty appointment and teach residents.
Contribute to patient care, educational missions, and departmental clinical quality improvement.
Qualifications
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Completion of an Otolaryngology residency.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology‑Head & Neck Surgery.
Full, unrestricted Ohio medical license and DEA license.
