PHYSICIAN (FHC) - Full-time and Part-time positions

Under administrative direction, performs professional medical work of considerable difficulty. Responsible for diagnosing and treating patients of Family Health Centers (FHC).
Examples of work include:
Diagnoses patients and designs appropriate treatment plans.
Adheres to standards of patient care.
Documents the components of the medical visit and any other clinical information.
Documents routine screening (i.e., pelvic, breast).
Analyzes and interprets lab results and responds to abnormal results.
Maintains follow-up of patients.
Counsels patients regarding health status, risks, recommended actions and community resources.
Consults with other medical providers regarding medical procedure and technique, patient care and treatment.
Adheres to patient call schedule as posted, as applicable.
Maintains sufficient patient volume, as established by the organization.
Assists in the education of health profession students.
Completes required paperwork for ongoing provider privileging and credentialing.
Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
Identifies patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and/or other communication barriers and uses appropriate interpretive service; documents use of interpretive services.
Adheres to standard precautions.
Performs related work as required.
Minimum Requirements
Must possess a license to practice medicine in the State of Kentucky and maintain license throughout employment with FHC. Must obtain a Kentucky Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license within 60 days of hire date and maintain license throughout employment with FHC. Must obtain CPR certification by the end of the probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment with FHC. Special Requirements
Must provide own transportation to work at other FHC locations as needed. Must be available to work a varied schedule, extra clinics (including Saturdays and evenings) and additional time beyond the clinic's regular schedule as necessary. Must be vaccinated for Hepatitis B, have provided evidence of immunization, or have signed a declination form within 10 days of initial assignment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Moves and/or lifts more than 100 lbs. when positioning patients or when assisting them on and off the examination table. Responds to patient and Family Health Centers' needs via the telephone, internet, fax, computer software and in person. Identifies medical record documentation, requests and/or releases.
