Status: Full-Time

Pay:

$17 – $18.50/hour

(based on experience)

Position Summary The

Behavioral Health Technician

is a hands-on, direct care role that supervises clients, provides support during treatment programming, and assists with daily living needs. Overnight BHTs ensure a safe and structured environment while monitoring client well-being throughout the night.

Responsibilities

Complete client intakes and support new admissions during overnight hours.

Supervise and monitor clients throughout the night to ensure safety and program compliance.

Conduct regular rounds and document client observations accurately.

Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.

Maintain comprehensive client records and required documentation.

Provide assistance with client needs, including dietary or housekeeping support.

Respond appropriately to client behavioral or emotional crises, including crisis intervention when necessary.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in compliance with facility standards.

Provide transportation for clients when needed.

Uphold therapeutic boundaries and professional ethics at all times.

Complete all required trainings and participate in staff development.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education & Licensure

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (required or ability to obtain upon hire).

Experience

Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or a related field preferred.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.

Skills & Abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to problem-solve and respond effectively in crisis situations.

Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
