Open Rank Physician Scientist for MPS (Medical Physicist? etc) at UNC Chapel Hill, Division of Genetics and Metabolism. Full‑time, 40‑hour week, full benefit package, located in North Carolina, US. The center focuses on mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) clinical trials and translational research. Responsibilities

80% effort dedicated to translational research through the Muenzer MPS Center, including principal investigator for ongoing and new clinical research studies. 20% effort devoted to clinical genetic activities in the Division, including evaluation, management, and inpatient call with the Pediatric Genetics/Metabolism team. Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and students in clinical genetics and metabolic disorders. Develop extramural grant proposals and secure research funding for MPS research. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to advance clinical and research programs. Qualifications

MD, board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Clinical Genetics/Biochemical Genetics. Excellent clinical skills, teaching ability, and interpersonal skills. Strong interest in translational research; track record with longitudinal research projects preferred. Experience with rare genetic disorders, particularly MPS patients, is highly desirable. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Location: North Carolina, US. Proposed start date: October 1, 2025. Salary depends on experience and qualifications.
