The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an academically oriented, board-certified/board-eligible hematologist-oncologist specializing in thoracic oncology to join our growing division at New York Presbyterian/Queens. The applicant will join the Weill Cornell Medicine faculty to develop an interdisciplinary medical oncology cancer program at New York Presbyterian/Queens, focusing on solid tumor malignancies. The goal is to establish New York Presbyterian/Queens as a regional leader in cancer care, emphasizing expert, patient-centered diagnosis, treatment, and quality care. Clinical duties will primarily involve caring for patients with solid tumor malignancies, specifically in Thoracic Oncology. You are expected to advance your expertise in lung cancer care, collaborating closely with thoracic oncologists and surgeons to promote multidisciplinary patient care. You will also become a member of the Thoracic Oncology Program within the Solid Tumor Service of the Weill Cornell Cancer Program and participate in the Thoracic Oncology Disease Management Team meetings. Located in Flushing, Queens, our facility serves a culturally diverse patient population from New York City. Our 535-bed tertiary hospital is an ACS Level 1 trauma center, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, and offers comprehensive services including cancer, cardiovascular, neurologic, and digestive health care. The hospital hosts three residency programs and six fellowship programs. Queens, known for landmarks like Flushing Meadows Park, the New York Mets, and the US Open Tennis Tournament, offers vibrant cultural, culinary, and recreational opportunities, including diverse cuisines, art, botanical gardens, and beaches. The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $400,000, excluding benefits and potential incentive payments based on quality and productivity. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
