The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a teaching-intensive Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy. The appointed individual will join our collegiate, dynamic and research-active team of academic and clinical staff who deliver high-quality teaching, clinical training and dissertation supervision to students on our undergraduate and postgraduate speech and language therapy programmes. We are currently ranked joint 1st in the UK for speech and language therapy in the Good University Guide.

We welcome applications from clinically qualified candidates with experience of clinical practice in a specialist capacity in adult speech/language/communication needs and/or eating, drinking and swallowing. Applicants should be willing to contribute to the highly collaborative, inter-disciplinary and collegiate environment at the University of Reading.

Qualifications

A BSc, MSci, MSc in speech and language therapy (or equivalent speech and language therapy qualification)

Current HCPC registration

Specialist knowledge of adult speech language and communication and swallowing

Recent practical experience of having provided speech and language therapy to adults with speech, language, communication needs, and/or eating, drinking and swallowing

a commitment to professionalism in undertaking responsibilities and in interactions with colleagues and students
