PRN Physical Therapist

WVU Medicine . Responsible for evaluating, assessing, planning treatment, performing therapeutic procedures, and progressing physical therapy patients. Responsibilities include consulting with medical staff, completing clinical records and insurance forms, and supervising assistive personnel. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. Current Physical Therapy licensure in West Virginia or the appropriate state. Eligibility for APTA or WVPTA membership. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Physical Therapist. Core Duties
Perform evaluation procedures including musculoskeletal, neuro, gait analysis, and others. Deliver and analyze physical therapy treatments, including modalities and exercises. Implement home programs and educate patients and families. Supervise assistive personnel and students. Provide care tailored to different age groups with competency. Communicate patient progress with the team. Document visits and complete paperwork timely. Ensure safety and compliance. Perform CPR and apply equipment per policies. Coordinate care and recognize stages of death and dying. Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and other physical activities. Ability to lift and move patients of all weights. Effective communication and visual acuity. Perform heavy work involving exertion over 100 pounds occasionally. Work Environment
Exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, gases, and hazardous conditions. Travel required as most work is in patients' homes. Skills and Abilities
Strong communication skills. Ability to delegate and manage time effectively. Problem-solving skills and interest in continuing education. Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance. Additional Details
