Responsibilities
Under general supervision, perform, analyze, and provide preliminary interpretation for comprehensive, complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures. Tailor examinations to provide accurate representation of cardiac anatomy and pathology; monitor patient vital signs; measure cardiac structures and blood flow; complete preliminary report for the reading cardiologist. Independently perform: Adult Transthoracic Echo; Adult Congenital and Pediatric Transthoracic Echo; Exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echo; 3D and Myocardial Strain Assessments; Structural Heart Assessments (pre- and post-surgical valve repair/replacement, TAVR, etc.); and assist with Transesophageal Echo (TEE) procedures. Provide imaging in the Cath Lab to guide procedures and evaluate valve placements; perform treadmill and pharmacologic stress imaging as part of the stress testing team. Assist physicians with 2-D and 3-D TEE and other procedures; perform measurements and calculations; prepare preliminary assessment for final interpretation. Recognize and alert attending cardiologist of critical findings; provide patient care aligned with ASE standards and Confluence Health policies. Contribute to professional development through departmental activities and training; participate in onboarding of new hires and interns; provide on-call coverage as assigned; orient across campuses; maintain CPR certification; maintain monthly productivity index. Required:
Current RDCS from ARDMS or RCS from CCI; current BLS certification. Desired:
Experience as an adult or pediatric echocardiographer; new graduates welcome to apply and participate in a 6-month preceptorship/mentorship program. Physical/Sensory Demands
