SCOPE OF POSITION
OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. All outpatient, IOP, and partial hospitalization services include evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized treatment plans. Services cover mood and anxiety disorders; obsessive‑compulsive disorder; psychosis; trauma‑ and stress‑related disorders; sexual dysfunction; women’s behavioral health; addictions; trauma; neurocognitive disorders; substance use disorder; traumatic brain injury. We offer withdrawal management, residential, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and many outpatient and continuing care groups.
POSITION SUMMARY The Behavioral Health Clinician for Inpatient Addiction Medicine provides wrap‑around support to patients and supports senior behavioral health clinicians in facilitating referrals and services. The clinician confirms appointments, sends and receives clinical documentation, ensures patient understanding, and performs related duties to achieve safe and timely discharges.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or mental health‑related field. Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant, Social Work Trainee, or Counselor Trainee preferred. 0 years of relevant experience required; 0‑2 years preferred.
Location: Harding Hospital (0165). Shift: First Shift. Regular position, 40 scheduled hours.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
