Responsibilities Speech‑Language Pathologists evaluate and provide skilled therapy to individuals in a home setting, working under an attending physician. The home setting may include single or multi‑family homes, assisted living, independent living, or memory care.
SLPs evaluate and treat patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and those requiring alternative or augmentative communication. Typical patients include post‑stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia cases.
Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license.
Automobile liability insurance.
Seat belt use at all times while driving.
Dependable vehicle in good working condition.
Ability to drive in all weather conditions.
Currently licensed as an SLP in the State of employment.
