Job Summary The Endoscopy Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the endoscopy nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient resource management. This leadership role involves direct supervision, budget planning, performance improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional growth and job satisfaction
Evaluate staff performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to hospital policies
Oversee orientation, education, and ongoing competency development for clinical staff
Manage department budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Ensure accurate patient billing and plan for capital equipment replacement
Collaborate with physicians and other departments to improve patient outcomes
Lead development of care paths and clinical guidelines for specific patient populations
Drive performance improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
Manage patient flow including admissions, transfers, and discharges
Respond to patient and staff concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally
Maintain continuity of care through effective communication and coordination
Required Skills & Experience
2–4 years of relevant clinical management experience
Strong knowledge of disease state management, clinical pathways, and the bio‑psychosocial model
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage clinical and numerical data with attention to detail
Education & Licensure
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (diploma or degree)
Valid multi‑state or Oklahoma RN license
Must meet Clinical Manager Level II job factors
