Pediatric Adolescent – Physician – NYC Health + Hospitals – Queens Hospital Center
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is seeking a part-time (3 days a week) Adolescent Medicine fellowship-trained pediatrician for immediate hire, to join the thriving Department of Pediatrics at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, New York. NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens is a member of the New York City Health + Hospitals public hospital system and is located in one of the most ethnically diverse communities in New York. The Department of Pediatrics is made up of a busy Ambulatory Pediatric Service with many innovative primary care programs – including integrated behavioral health, integrated preventive dentistry, a Pediatric Healthy Lifestyles Program, Healthy Steps, Reach Out & Read, Centering and the Video Interaction Project; a Center for Child Development; a Level III NICU and a Mother-Baby Unit with >1300 deliveries a year. We provide long-acting reversible contraception as part of our adolescent services. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement as well as teaching of students and adult primary care residents. NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program as a designated Health Manpower Shortage Area for Primary Care. Responsibilities Direct patient care. Quality improvement activities. Collaborating with the Chief of Adolescent Medicine to build out patient-centered services around healthy lifestyles and young adult pre-conception health, reproductive health, and behavioral health – as well as with the greater team on providing comprehensive pediatric primary care services that promote health and wellness over the life course. Qualifications BC/BE in Pediatrics. Possess a valid New York State medical license and DEA. Position will include a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications. Compensation will be pro-rated based on the full-time salary range of $205K to $210K.
