Assists Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient’s visit, including obtaining vitals, medical history, and other pertinent information from the patient. Prepares exam rooms for patients. Assists Providers with procedures as directed by the Provider. Assists with collection of lab samples. Gives injections, administers meds, and provides wound care as ordered by Provider. Documents all care and education in the medical record. Why join us

The following are the minimum requirements to perform this job. An equivalent combination of experience, education, and training may be acceptable where allowed by law. Education: High school diploma or GED. Licensure: Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of NC. Work experience: Prior experience in a medical practice setting is helpful. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to work independently, strong communication, basic math skills, and computer literacy. Experience with electronic medical records. Life Safety: American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days and maintained thereafter. Physical and environmental requirements

Extended walking, standing, bending, and stooping may be required. Ability to hear clearly, visual acuity for computer use, ability to perform repetitive tasks, keyboarding, and lifting up to 25 pounds. EEOC Statement
