Position Highlights The Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns, and Emergency Surgery seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to support clinical research in trauma. The Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison for clinical trials involving hemorrhage control, resuscitation, and general trauma, working closely with faculty to facilitate screening, informed consent, data entry, laboratory coordination, query resolution, and follow‑up scheduling. The role requires limited supervision and the ability to consult faculty on complex situations. Duties & Responsibilities

Screen and evaluate subjects for inclusion into clinical trials, ensuring eligibility criteria are met.

Explain the trial to participants and families, obtain consent, and enroll participants.

Schedule and/or perform medical testing per protocol, coordinating imaging, blood draws, sample processing, and shipment of laboratory samples.

Assess and follow patients through trauma care, determining protocol compliance and notifying the Trauma Research Manager of any issues.

Complete case report forms and maintain participant data in the electronic database.

Assist in the coordination of assigned programs and projects.

Help train lower‑level staff and mentor student workers.

Conduct neurotechnology assessments of enrolled subjects as directed by the research protocol after training and certification.

Submit study protocols, amendments, consent forms, and recruiting materials to the Institutional Review Board and department for approval.

Provide team coordination, communication, and quality control, collaborating with faculty to develop compliance forms and tracking documents.

Attend site visits and perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum of two years of relevant experience with patient interaction in a clinical setting or research study.

Experience with cognitive testing.

Experience training or mentoring junior lab members.

IRB experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning through professional experience.

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

FLSA Exempt.

Full Time position (40 hours per week).

Salary range: $53,039 – $66,299 per year.
