Position Description: Surgical Technologist – Non-Certified Location: BayCare Health System The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN according to accepted clinical standards of care. Responsibilities
Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room and patients to ensure sterile field. Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc. Assists with inventory of sterile supplies. May assist in patient transport. Position Details
Location: St Josephs Main and Childrens Status: Full Time Exempt: No Shift Hours: 10:45am - 9:15pm Weekend Work: Occasional On Call: Yes Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Specific Skills
Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up Interpersonal skills Benefits
