We are rapidly expanding our plant health care group and are seeking dedicated individuals who love working outdoors and possess exceptional customer service skills. As a Plant Health Care Specialist at Ryan Lawn & Tree, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and vitality of our clients' trees and shrubs and overall landscape. Your responsibilities will include performing various fertilization and plant protectant applications, implementing advanced plant health care techniques, and delivering top‑notch customer service to our valued clientele.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of trees, shrubs, and plants, identifying potential health issues, diseases, and pest infestations on client properties.

Develop and execute effective plant health care programs tailored to each client's specific needs, considering local environmental factors and seasonal requirements.

Work closely with a team to ensure efficient operations, while also having the autonomy to work independently.

Take care of client properties with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.

Interact with clients daily in a timely manner, effectively communicating the process, expectations, services performed, and recommendations for other Ryan services required on their property.

Demonstrate a general knowledge of plant health care practices, including tree/shrub identification and associated disease/insect identification.

Requirements

Preferably 2+ years of horticulture or related field experience – a plus, but a continual learner mindset is also valued.

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in horticulture or agricultural sciences preferred.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Ability to obtain DOT certification.

Capability to obtain and maintain a state‑issued pesticide applicator license for ornamental plants within 3 months.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
